Dr. Jenn Turner completed her Bachelors Degree in Physical Education at Brock University in St. Catharine's, Ontario. After graduating, she continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and earned her Doctorate of Chiropractic. Dr. Turner is currently a resident in the Chiropractic Sports Sciences fellowship program in Vancouver, studying under some of the best clinicians and doctors in order to be a sports specialist herself. Jenn is a fully certified Active Release Techniques © practitioner as well as being trained in Graston Techniques ®. She is also a Certified Personal Trainer through CPTN and holds both levels 1 and 2 coaching theory certificates from the NCCP.
Her expertise has taken her to Europe as part of the medical team for the National Bobsled and Skeleton teams where they were competing in the Europa Cup Circuit. She also works closely with Valley Fight Club in Chilliwack treating amateur and professional Mixed Martial Arts athletes, and the BC Lions CFL football team. Jenn is the "Injuries" columnist for Triathlon Magazine Canada and has contributed to the Triathlon BC publication, IMPACT magazine and many others. She is currently the chiropractor for the Canadian Pro Cycling Team the Symmetrics. Through her involvement with this team she has been able to work with Road and Track Cyclists competing in the 2008 Olympics. She has traveled with Cycling Canada to the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester England, and to Montevideo, Uruguay for the 2008 Pan American Championships.
Jenn is a competitive athlete herself. Dr. Turner's involvement in triathlon began at age 18 and she has recently discovered that her passion and talent lies in long course triathlon. In the summer of 2005, she competed in Denmark for Team Canada at the Long Course World Triathlon Championships where she was a gold medalist in her age group and was in the top ten overall women. In 2004, she competed at the same event in Sweden where she was a silver medalist. So far she has three Ironman races under her belt, with a best finish of 10:56 and has hopes of qualifying for Hawaii Ironman in the near future. Currently Dr. Turner works out of North Vancouver where she is a director at MOVEO SPORT AND REHABILITATION CENTRE INC., and OPTIMUM SPORT PERFORMANCE & HEALTH CENTRE in Chilliwack BC.
